The Trilogy of History
The “Trilogy of History” is a loose thematic cycle of early films by Theo Angelopoulos, consisting of Days of '36 (1972), The Travelling Players (1975), and The Hunters (1977). While not connected through a continuous narrative, the three films examine key moments in modern Greek history through allegorical storytelling, tracing the political turmoil of dictatorship, occupation, and civil war.
