Le Gouffre is set in a dystopian dream-interface universe where physical laws and biological instincts are merely software protocols. The film follows a nameless narrator who awakens due to a software glitch within the simulation. After decoding fragments of the source code, the narrator begins to decipher that human nature and truth itself are a prison. As the character explores this digital realm, they journey toward the boundaries of the virtual universe to escape the dream. The film invites the audience to a philosophical inquiry that concludes at the edge of the system, on the brink of "Le Gouffre."
